How to Donate Directly to your Child's Classroom

Parents, you will see, throughout this newsletter and the school year, references to many programs and events that are hosted by the Shoal Creek PTA and the Shoal Creek Educational Foundation. These programs and events are funded by PTA membership does, various fundraisers throughout the year, as well as by private donations.

But what about our teachers and students? What about our library or our students' field trips? Who helps purchase the classroom supplies? Well, due to substantial budget cuts, the PTA and foundation help out as much as they can. But if you, as a parent, want to make a donation that will directly affect your child's school, teach and/or classroom, there is an easy way to do it - and you don't even have to write a check!

Go to the PUSD Donation site pusddonate.org and click on the "Elementary Schools" link on the left hand side. Next, locate the Shoal Creek Ollie Otter and click it!

Now you can donate to the school, a specific department or grade, or directly to your child's classroom. You can even support field trips - all online- without having to write a check.

Many companies provide matching gifts and donations and this donation site makes it easy to make monetary donations, get receipts for personal taxes, and submit the receipts for company matching. Try it today!
